Altavane Link authenticates every command and is designed to keep a drone under control when a satellite link is jammed, spoofed or lost.
Satellite links can be jammed or dropped mid-mission, leaving a drone without a control path.
Most links do not prove who sent a command, making spoofed or replayed commands hard to detect.
When one network fails, re-establishing a secure session takes time a drone may not have.
It authenticates every command, so spoofed or replayed commands are rejected.
It moves to a second satellite network without a new key exchange, keeping control uninterrupted.
It keeps a signed record of who commanded what, supporting investigation and accountability.
Altavane is in development. The design has been tested in software and simulation, and a hardware test bench is the next step. There are no customers or deployments yet.
